OVERVIEW
The iconic Jaeger-LeCoultre Memovox Snowdrop, reference E877, was introduced in the early 1970s and is the last of the 8 Memovox references produced between 1970 and 1972, with an estimated production of only 2,000 pieces, making it extremely rare. Its design is characteristic and offbeat from the 70s, featuring a funky 43mm round monobloc case without lugs. The silver dial is complemented by applied indices, luminous dots, and hands with tritium. The center features a silver alarm disc, and there is a date window at the 3 o'clock position. It is powered by the caliber 916, used in Memovox models from 1969 onwards, featuring an increased balance oscillation frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, earning the nickname "Speed Beat," and equipped with a winding rotor mechanism that utilizes the full 360° in both directions to store mechanical energy in the barrel to drive the time function. The case is in satin stainless steel with a snowdrop engraved case back inscribed "speed beat, E877." This model is new old stock, unbelievable for its age, making it a real collector's piece. It comes with its fullset (original black leather strap and buckle and original JLC box and papers).
